Our comprehensive approach to health care and proposed continued investments in Mercy’s health care delivery will ensure that every patient in the greater St. Louis region has access to high-quality, compassionate health care right in their backyard.

Mercy Health Foundation St. Louis has been a catalyst for introducing new, specialized treatment options and enhancing access to care for the underserved. With help from the Dana Brown Charitable Trust and other generous supporters, Mercy Health Foundation has raised $3.5 million to create a new home for our Cardinals Kids and Cardinals AYA Cancer Centers. This expansion will allow us to extend our healing ministry even further by serving more children and young adults battling cancer. Dana Brown grant awards also provided funds to support care for Odin, our Duo Dogs Pediatric cancer support dog. As Mercy Hospital St. Louis offers comprehensive pediatric oncology and hematology services, the vital endeavors are matched by lifting the spirits of children fighting cancer. Creating an atmosphere of hope, joy, and love is essential, and no one provides the healing balm of unconditional love more reliably than a dog.

The most recent Dana Brown grant award supported Mercy, which has one of only six Missouri Autism Centers recognized by the State of Missouri and is the leading autism care provider for the St. Louis region. This project will expand and improve the pediatric diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities of the Mercy Kids Therapy and Development Center by renovating an accessible, free-standing, and state-of-the-art facility in Chesterfield.

What are the components of the year-end Progress/Follow-Up Report?

A

It is an online form that must be completed to meet all grant award requirements.

Since the majority of grant awards are project/program specific, you will be asked to provide income and expenditure information compared to the budget initially proposed in your grant application. The Executive Director and Trust Chair will review to ensure the grant award was used as outlined in the grant LOI and Application.

The DBCT Grant Review Committee will have access to the completed/approved form during the grant review process.

Any program impact images you’d like to share with The Dana Brown Charitable Trust (up to four, limit 4mb per image file). A disclaimer for using those images for DBCT social media and communication is also part of the required form.
